Tamil Nadu continues to witness intense political uncertainty as actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) struggles to secure the numbers needed to form the government. Despite emerging as the single largest party with 108 seats, TVK remains short of the majority mark even after receiving support from Congress, CPI, and CPI(M). The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) is yet to take a final call on extending support, while the IUML has reaffirmed its backing for the DMK alliance. With Governor meetings, alliance negotiations, and Vijay’s possible swearing-in hanging in the balance, the Tamil Nadu political deadlock continues to deepen.
