After the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay issued a statement regarding the medical entrance examination. He reiterated Tamil Nadu’s long-standing stance on the medical exam. He urged the Central Government to abolish the NEET-based entrance examination process and allow states to grant admission to students based on their Class 12 marks.
