From a meme movement to a political storm, the Cockroach Janta Party has taken Indian social media by surprise. Founded by Abhijeet Dipke, the satirical outfit crossed the BJP’s Instagram follower count before its X account was suddenly withheld in India. But now it’s back again with another one on X. And within hours it has gained more than 50,000 followers. But why is this Gen Z-driven movement exploding online? In this video, we talk about the chronology of it all.
