The Supreme Court of India has asked Central Board of Secondary Education and the Centre to respond within four weeks to petitions challenging the new three-language policy for Class 9 students.
The policy, introduced under NEP 2020, requires students to study three languages, with at least two being Indian languages. The matter is expected to be heard on July 15 and 16.
