Former IAS officer and the first Chairman of the Competition Commission of India, Dhanendra Kumar, tragically lost his life after a suspected AC blast triggered a massive fire at his Hauz Khas residence in South Delhi. The 80-year-old was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre but died due to smoke inhalation during treatment. His son was also injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment.
