Electricity consumers in Uttar Pradesh are facing a double whammy of frequent power cuts and a looming price hike, as the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has announced a 10% increase in electricity bills starting June 2026. This hike is driven by the implementation of the Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment Surcharge (FPPAS).
