A political storm has erupted over the alleged irregularities in the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) contract awarded to COEMPT Edutech. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi directly questioned Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing the government and CBSE of lowering technical standards to favour a controversial company linked to past allegations under its former name, Globarena. Rahul Gandhi raised concerns about the safety and credibility of evaluation for nearly 18.5 lakh students, demanding transparency over the tender process and background checks. In response, CBSE rejected all allegations, calling them misleading and claiming that proper procurement rules were followed while awarding the contract to the qualified bidder.
