This development follows the decision of the Congress to ally with the TVK in Tamil Nadu. The DMK has accused the Congress of betrayal after benefiting from its support to win votes. Sources indicate that the DMK has requested a separate seating block from the Congress in the Lok Sabha, with a parliamentary reshuffle currently under consideration. Meanwhile, the Centre is preparing to reintroduce the delimitation bill in the monsoon session and has already begun consultations with regional parties, including the DMK and the TMC.
