A rebel faction of nearly twenty Trinamool Congress members of parliament has decided to extend support to the National Democratic Alliance. The rebel members have expressed their intention to write to the Lok Sabha Speaker to formally convey their desire to join the ruling coalition. This move follows the arbitrary removal of a senior member from the post of chief whip within the party. While some first-time parliamentarians have openly aligned with this decision to boost numbers for key bills, others from certain constituencies remain apprehensive about supporting the coalition.
