You have likely rarely, if ever, seen headlines like this in newspapers or on news channels. Yet, today, this story features as the lead on DNA. Delhi delivered this stern rebuke—effectively taking the White House down a peg—at a time when US President Donald Trump is threatening to attack Iran. Even today, he issued a threat of a major attack on Tehran; we will decode this threat shortly. But first, let us understand why India reprimanded the US. You are likely aware that the US has established a naval blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. In a show of dominance amidst this blockade, the US military attacked three vessels carrying Indian sailors. Today—June 11—a ship named *Jalveer* was attacked. Twenty-four hours earlier, on June 10, a ship named *Setbello* was targeted; while 21 of the 24 Indian sailors on board were rescued, three lost their lives. On June 8, US Air Force fighter jets fired a missile at a ship named *Marivox*, which also had Indian sailors on board.
