A controversy has erupted over a statement made by Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar regarding cases of kidney failure in women following Caesarean deliveries in Bikaner. When the Health Minister visited PBM Hospital, he was asked for his comments on the fact that the women’s health deteriorated two to three hours after delivery. Angered by the question, the Minister retorted, “You tell me—in what condition did the women arrive? Did they walk in dancing, or did they come in sick?”
