फिनलैंड में भारत के विदेश मंत्री S. Jaishankar ने रूस से तेल खरीदने पर उठे सवालों का जवाब देते हुए कहा कि भारत तेल कीमत और उपलब्धता के आधार पर खरीदता है। उन्होंने पश्चिमी देशों के दोहरे रवैये की आलोचना की और कहा कि यूरोप द्वारा बेचे गए हथियार भारत के खिलाफ इस्तेमाल हुए हैं। फिनलैंड की विदेश मंत्री Elina Valtonen ने भी भारत का समर्थन करते हुए कहा कि भारत ने रूसी तेल निर्धारित प्राइस कैप के भीतर खरीदा, जो प्रतिबंधों के नियमों के अनुरूप था।
Responding to questions about India’s purchase of oil from Russia in Finland, India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that India buys oil based on price and availability. He criticized the double standards of Western countries and said that weapons sold by Europe have been used against India. Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen also supported India, saying that India purchased Russian oil within the prescribed price cap, which was in accordance with sanctions rules.
