Mamata Banerjee has suffered a setback from the High Court. On June 18, the Calcutta High Court delivered its verdict regarding the ongoing dispute over the post of Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The Court refused to stay the Speaker’s decision; consequently, Ritabrata Banerjee will continue to hold the position of Leader of the Opposition.
