A massive controversy has erupted in Bihar’s Bhojpur after Bharat Bhushan Tiwari was killed in a police encounter on June 17, exposing a glaring communication gap between the state government and the police administration. While Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary publicly stated that Tiwari, reportedly mentally unstable, had been arrested and sent to a mental health institution for treatment, the police official release claimed he died in self-defense firing after attacking the team. The case has taken a dramatic turn with Tiwari’s final Facebook Live video showing him throwing away his weapon to surrender right before the transmission cut, raising severe questions from political leaders and family of Bharat Tiwari.
