Twenty-two lakh students across the country appeared for the NEET re-examination after the initial test was canceled due to a paper leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently probing the paper leak case. As the three-hour-long re-examination concluded at 5:15 PM, parents waited outside centers. Ground reports from various cities highlighted the situation for candidates and their families. At the Pandara Road center in the national capital, students were seen revising until the last minute. In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where over 1.42 lakh students took the exam across 307 centers, parents waited outside for hours despite weather issues. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, parents clapped and welcomed students coming out of the centers. The students in Mumbai managed to reach their examination centers on time despite an ongoing bus strike in the city. The re-examination marks a crucial second attempt for the medical aspirants awaiting their results.
