Following an investigation and recommendation by the SIT, 8 accused have been arrested on June 25, 2026. An FIR was officially registered at the Ram Janmabhoomi Kotwali regarding alleged financial irregularities and embezzlement of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Acting on a formal complaint filed by Shri Krishna Mohan on behalf of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government directed the police to file the case under sections 306, 316(5), 317(4), 317(5), 61, and 3(5) of the BNS, which cover embezzlement, fraud, and criminal conspiracy. The FIR names eight individuals, including Ramashankar Yadav (Tinnu Yadav), Anukalp Mishra.
