The Meghalaya Government has inaugurated a Football Fan Park at the SRGT Parking Lot in Shillong, giving football enthusiasts a dedicated venue to enjoy the FIFA World Cup 2026 on giant LED screens free of cost.
The initiative aims to bring together football fans from across the state, creating a vibrant community viewing experience during one of the world’s biggest sporting events. Visitors will be able to watch live FIFA World Cup matches in an exciting stadium-like atmosphere without any entry fee.
Known as one of India’s biggest football-loving regions, Meghalaya has consistently promoted the sport through grassroots development and fan engagement. The newly launched Fan Park is expected to become a major attraction throughout the FIFA World Cup tournament.
