A political controversy has emerged in Tamil Nadu following the arrest of three individuals by the Chennai police over an alleged scheme to poach legislative assembly members. The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) accused the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of horse-trading, alleging an offer of thirty-five crore rupees was made to a TVK MLA to support a no-confidence motion. The TVK linked the conspiracy to leaders including Senthil Balaji. Amidst these developments, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin chaired an alliance meeting attended by Congress, VCK, MDMK, and IUML, while Left parties skipped the session. Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna in Vijayawada, while Naidu accused the YSRCP of betraying Amaravati farmers. In Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy dismissed BJP President Nitin Nabin’s claims of forming the next state government, asserting that the opposition’s strategies would fail against the Congress.
