The Tamil Nadu Congress Chief has supported the VCK President’s proposal for the DMK and TVK to form a national alliance to oppose the BJP. The VCK Chief suggested that while the DMK and TVK remain political rivals within Tamil Nadu, they should unite at the national level to strengthen the INDIA bloc against the BJP. The Tamil Nadu Congress Chief described this vision as far-sighted, urging that it should not be viewed through the lens of state assembly politics. He compared the proposed arrangement to the Kerala model, where the Congress and the Left contest against each other in the state but remain united nationally in their opposition to the BJP.
