On the night of July 9, the Crime Branch shot dead four criminals in an encounter in Gurugram, Haryana. All four deceased criminals are reported to be members of the Deepak Nandal gang; Nandal operates his gang from abroad. Three police personnel, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), also sustained gunshot wounds during the encounter and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
