Following the application for the Trust’s CEO post, a formal interview will be conducted, and then one candidate will be selected. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued notices to the Central Government, the Uttar Pradesh Government, and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust regarding the Ram Mandir offerings theft case. The court has directed the SIT, formed by the Uttar Pradesh Government, to submit a report on the investigation conducted so far.

Two important hearings took place in the Supreme Court today. The first case is from Assam. The Supreme Court has pronounced an important verdict on a batch of petitions filed against the refusal of citizenship by the Foreigners Tribunal in Assam. Quashing the previous decisions of the Gauhati High Court and the Tribunal, the court has directed all 27 cases to be reconsidered by the concerned Foreigners Tribunal. The second case is related to the Tamil Nadu government. The Supreme Court placed an interim stay on the Madras High Court order that had directed the Tamil Nadu government to ensure a complete ban on the slaughter of cows and calves in the state, not just on Bakrid, but on any day of the year.
