Amidst the ongoing debate over ethanol, the government today attempted to answer several questions. In today’s show, we will discuss this Q&A and debate over Ethanol. The government has tried to clarify that there is no haste in the ethanol plan. It has also answered questions regarding why the option for E10 is not being provided and whether E20 is damaging vehicles. However, many questions still remain unanswered. We will discuss those in the show.
The Delhi High Court has upheld the sentence of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav in a check bounce case. Terming the actor’s conduct as suspicious, the court ordered authorities to send him back to jail. In the show, we will briefly explain what the entire matter is about and what else the court said.
The ED has initiated a FEMA investigation and conducted searches against a Mumbai-based film producer, linked to actor Shekhar Suman, and his company on charges of holding undisclosed foreign assets and other alleged irregularities. ED searched Kalanee Impex Ltd. and its director Dharmesh Sangani in Mumbai under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
