The SIT report reveals that CCTV cameras captured 70 thefts in just 40 days. An investigation of the counting room’s CCTV footage reveals approximately 70 such incidents between April 27th and June 5th alone. Counting staff, now in jail, were seen hiding bundles of currency notes in their pockets, shoes, and socks. The CCTV footage clearly shows six accused: Anukalp Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, and Ramashankar Mishra committing theft. According to the SIT report, Tinnu Yadav kept the keys to the counting room without any orders. Furthermore, he recommended his nephew, Manish Yadav, to count donations, who, along with the other accused, embezzled millions of rupees. Meanwhile, counting officer Subhash Srivastava, whose job was to oversee the counting, acted so lax that it facilitated the theft. Many serious allegations have also been made against Anil Mishra in the SIT report.
