उत्तर प्रदेश के शाहजहांपुर जिले के कांट थाना क्षेत्र में 31 जुलाई 2026 की रात प्रेम प्रसंग के शक और विवाद के चलते 20 वर्षीय हिंदू युवक गौतम मौर्य की चाकू से गोदकर बेरहमी से हत्या कर दी गई। मुख्य आरोपी समीर अली को ग्रामीणों ने मौके पर पकड़ लिया, और पुलिस मुठभेड़ में वह घायल हो गया।
