US Navy is facing growing concerns over the mental and physical condition of sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, which has been deployed at sea for more than 250 days amid the escalating conflict with Iran. More than 5,000 sailors and Marines are on board, but they have reportedly had very limited opportunities to go ashore, with complaints about food shortages, poor facilities, long working hours and severe fatigue. Families of some sailors have also raised serious concerns about their mental health and the impact of the prolonged deployment.
Also covered, Pakistan’s former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has been seen at an event alongside Lashkar-e-Taiba figures, where he allegedly praised Hafiz Saeed. Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has announced that she will leave her position later this month to focus on raising her young children. Also, Ukraine has launched reported drone and missile attacks on Russia’s Novorossiysk port and a naval base.
