प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के स्वतंत्रता दिवस भाषण में ‘दिमागी नक्सल’ वाले बयान पर पूर्व गृह मंत्री पी. चिदंबरम द्वारा “मुझे दिमागी नक्सल होने पर गर्व है” कहे जाने के बाद देश में सियासत गर्मा गई है। इस बयान पर पलटवार करते हुए असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंता बिस्वा सरमा ने तीखा हमला बोला है। हिमंता ने कहा कि चिदंबरम केवल ‘दिमागी नक्सल’ नहीं, बल्कि ‘प्योर नक्सल’ (Pure Naxal) हैं। उन्होंने मांग की है कि देश के गृह मंत्री रहते हुए चिदंबरम ने जानबूझकर नक्सलवाद के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई क्यों नहीं की, इस पर जांच होनी चाहिए।
