महानगरों में रश आर में गाड़ियों की स्पीड साइकिल से भी स्लोदुनिया में तेल के संकट और तेल पर बढ़ते खर्च के बीच इलेक्ट्रिक गाड़ियों का इस्तेमाल बढ़ता जा रहा है। लेकिन अब दुनिया इलेक्ट्रिक गाड़ी से आगे इलेक्ट्रिक प्लेन की तरफ भी बढ़ने लगी है। अमेरिका के न्यूयॉर्क में दुनिया के सबसे बड़े इलेक्ट्रिक विमान ने अपनी पहली टेस्ट फ्लाइट पूरी कर ली है। अपनी सफल उड़ान के जरिए इसने साबित कर दिया कि अब इलेक्ट्रिक विमान पर आम यात्रियों के उड़ने का सपना जल्द साकार होने वाला है। इस विमान ने एक बूंद जेट फ्यूल खर्च किए बिना एक बूंद सोचिए जेट फ्यूल इस्तेमाल नहीं किया लेकिन हवा में उड़ान भर ली।
