Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana has faced sharp opposition criticism after a purported video showed him walking away from the dais while the national anthem was being played at an event in Lucknow.
The incident took place at a principals’ council event on Saturday. Mahana clarified that the national anthem was not played at the spot where he had received the guard of honour.
