बात भारतीय वायु सेना में शामिल हुई उस ताकत की जिसने पाकिस्तान और चीन को भी घबराने पर मजबूर कर दिया। भारत के इस नए ब्रह्मास्त्र का नाम है खगनंतक 243। खगनंतक यानी बाज जो आसमान का सबसे बड़ा शिकारी है और कुछ ऐसा ही है भारतीय वायुसेना का यह घातक हथियार भी। खगंतक इंडियन एयरफोर्स का नया लॉन्ग रेंज ग्लाइड बम है। खगंतक को देश में डिजाइन और डेवलप किया गया है। यह 300 किलो क्लास का एक बेहद खतरनाक हथियार है। अगर इसे 12,000 मीटर की ऊंचाई से गिराया जाए तो इसकी रेंज 140 कि.मी. से भी ज्यादा होती है। खगंतक 243 को लड़ाकू विमान में फिट कर कर काफी दूरी से दागा जा सकता है। यानी बिना दुश्मन की सीमा में जाए दूर से ही लक्ष्य को निशाना बनाया जा सकता है।

Khagantak is the Indian Air Force’s new long-range glide bomb. It has been designed and developed indigenously. It is a highly formidable weapon in the 300-kilogram class; when dropped from an altitude of 12,000 meters, it boasts a range exceeding 140 kilometers. The Khagantak 243 can be mounted on fighter aircraft and launched from a significant distance, allowing targets to be engaged from afar without the need to enter enemy territory.
