उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में स्थित पुरानी मस्जिद को 5 सितंबर 2026 की तड़के प्रशासन ने भारी पुलिस बल की तैनाती के बीच बुलडोजर से ध्वस्त कर दिया। जिला जज की अदालत ने 2 सितंबर 2026 को मुस्लिम पक्ष की याचिका खारिज कर दी थी, जिसमें सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट के उस आदेश को बरकरार रखा गया था जिसमें निर्माण को सरकारी जमीन पर अवैध घोषित किया गया था। कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए पीएसी (PAC) और रैपिड एक्शन फोर्स (RAF) की कई कंपनियां तैनात की गईं और कलेक्ट्रेट के सभी गेट बंद कर दिए गए थे।

On September 2, 2026, the District Judge’s court had dismissed a petition filed by the Muslim side, thereby upholding the City Magistrate’s order that had declared the structure illegal as it was built on government land. Several companies of the PAC and the Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed to maintain law and order, and all gates of the Collectorate were closed.
