Three Russian military aircraft have landed at Noida International Airport for the first time, marking the first landing of foreign military aircraft at the new airport.
The development comes ahead of the BRICS Summit 2026 and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s expected India visit. An Ilyushin Il-76 military transport aircraft was also among the three Russian planes that landed at around 5:30 AM.
The aircraft reportedly brought a Russian advance team and military officials as preparations for the high-level visit continue.
