Bihar witnessed a major student protest in Patna on September 15. Students preparing for competitive exams broke police barricades and marched towards the R Block area, demanding an impartial probe into alleged irregularities in several examinations. Their demands include the cancellation and re-examination of exams where irregularities are found. Students have raised questions over the Bihar Police SI recruitment exam, 70th BPSC exam and pending BSSC examinations. In the 1,799-post Bihar Police SI recruitment, around 35,857 candidates appeared for the Main exam. The EOU is investigating alleged irregularities and question-paper photographs linked to examination centres in Purnia and Gaya.
