The US has released declassified footage of a daring rescue operation in Iran, where American forces rescued a badly wounded US Air Force officer after he spent nearly 50 hours hiding in the Iranian mountains.
The incident took place in April after an American F-15E fighter jet was shot down near Isfahan, Iran. Two US personnel ejected from the aircraft and landed at different locations. While one was rescued within hours, the second officer, identified as “Bravo,” was seriously injured and forced to hide from Iranian security forces.
