Seven Republican lawmakers joined Democrats in the US House to pass a War Powers Resolution targeting President Donald Trump’s military action against Iran.
The resolution passed 220-204 and seeks to require congressional authorization for continued military operations. This was the third House attempt to limit Trump’s war powers over the Iran conflict. Republican lawmakers have raised concerns over prolonged military action, congressional authority and the rising cost of the war.
