Pakistani authorities have deployed over 1,000 heavy shipping containers and mobilized more than 17,000 security personnel across Islamabad to block key arteries and red zone access ahead of multiple planned protests. Major entry points and critical areas including D-Chowk, Embassy Road, Faizabad, Margalla Road, and Motorway Chowk have been heavily fortified. The protests begin on September 20 with Jamaat-e-Islami marching against soaring fuel prices and petroleum levies, followed by the Kisan Ittehad farmers march on September 25, and a major demonstration by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allies on September 27. Security forces equipped with riot gear, tear gas, and water cannons remain stationed to prevent demonstrations in the capital.
