A major police action has been reported in Bihar’s Jamui district in the case involving the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl and assault of a minor boy. The main accused, Nandan Yadav, was shot in the leg after allegedly trying to flee when police spotted him on September 22. He was later taken to Jamui hospital. Another accused, Hare Ram Yadav, has also been arrested. Police have identified several other suspects and formed an SIT to investigate the case. Action is also underway against social media accounts that circulated the sensitive video involving the minors. Police have urged people not to share or repost the video or reveal the victims’ identities.
