The Supreme Court witnessed a heated exchange between Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Senior Advocate S. Muralidhar during the hearing of the Vande Mataram case.
The argument intensified after the word “Naxalite” was used during the proceedings.
S. Muralidhar strongly objected to the expression and asked that it not be used during the live hearing. The bench said it would not take the word on record and would focus on the legal and constitutional issues involved.
