Former councillor and Jan Suraaj leader Anil Kumar Yadav was shot multiple times in Patna, Bihar, on September 23. The firing took place inside the basement of Maa Sukhiya Mahal Apartment in the Kidwaipuri area under Buddha Colony Police Station. According to police, three people arrived on a motorcycle and two of them opened fire on Anil Yadav. CCTV footage reportedly shows two attackers carrying pistols. Anil Yadav sustained 4–5 bullet injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Patna. Police said his condition is stable.
