The INDIA bloc is set to meet in New Delhi on September 30 amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The meeting is expected to focus on the Opposition’s strategy regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the reported differences within the poll panel.
TMC and CPI(M), long-time political rivals in West Bengal, have also opened communication channels over the issue. Opposition parties are discussing a joint strategy, including a possible removal motion against the Chief Election Commissioner.
