| DNA With Rahul Sinha | Orangutans | Odisha
Mahatma Buddha advocated compassion towards all living beings, whether weak or strong; depriving any creature of its natural life is considered an act against righteousness (*adharma*). Friends, in the greed for wealth, boundaries are often transgressed, leading to other creatures being displaced from their natural habitats. Five orangutans—also known as great apes—have been found in the forests of Balasore, Odisha. While finding animals in a forest is hardly a miracle, the discovery of orangutans in the Balasore forest is astonishing, given that they are not native to India. So, where did they come from? Did they arrive naturally, or is there a different mystery behind their presence in Balasore? Friends, let us now decode this mystery.
