The Election Commission has issued a clarification, putting an end to the various rumors surrounding the work allocation order. Commission officials state that the decision regarding the distribution of work was reached by the Commission through a consensus, and there has been no change to the reporting structure or hierarchy of DG (IT) Seema Khanna. She continues to report to an officer at the level of Deputy Election Commissioner (DEC), just as she did previously.
