The Union Government announced it will offload an additional 20 lakh tonnes of #wheat in the open market. On January 25, Centre had announced the sale of 30 lakh tonnes of wheat in the open market from its buffer stock to check the rise in prices of wheat and atta. But there is a catch in this. Due to erratic rains and terminal heat, wheat production has been affected and there is a possibility of dent in production of wheat.
