A five-member special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the tragic Morbi bridge collapse incident. One IAS officer of municipal administration, chief engineer to check quality control, structural engineer, secretary road and building and IG CID crime will be part of the SIT.
Meanwhile, PM Modi, who is in Gujarat on a 3-day visit, has instructed the state machinery to rush all help to Morbi administration and speed up rescue and emergency medical services.
