Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has confirmed that despite serious damage to its nuclear facilities caused by recent U.S. and Israeli strikes, Tehran will not abandon its uranium enrichment program. Speaking to Fox News, Araghchi described uranium enrichment as a significant scientific achievement and a matter of national pride for Iran, emphasizing that although enrichment activities are currently halted due to the damage, Iran has the technology, scientists, and personnel to rebuild and continue the program. He insisted that any future nuclear agreement must preserve Iran’s right to enrich uranium, which Iran views as essential for its dignity, security, and growth. U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that the strikes severely damaged Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and warned of more attacks if necessary, but Araghchi maintained that there is no military solution to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
