उत्तर प्रदेश की स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (STF) ने प्रयागराज में बड़ी कार्रवाई की है. झारखंड के धनबाद का रहने वाला और कई हत्याओं में वांछित कुख्यात माफिया आशीष रंजन उर्फ छोटू सिंह मुठभेड़ के दौरान ढेर हो गया. आरोपी प्रयागराज में किसी बड़ी आपराधिक घटना को अंजाम देने की फिराक में था. इसी दौरान सूचना के बाद एसटीएफ ने घेराबंदी की. आरोपी ने AK-47 और पिस्टल से STF टीम पर फायरिंग कर दी, लेकिन जवाबी कार्रवाई में वह घायल हो गया.

Ashish Ranjan alias Chhotu Singh, a notorious mafia from Dhanbad, Jharkhand and wanted in several murders, was killed during an encounter. The accused was planning to commit a major criminal incident in Prayagraj. Meanwhile, after receiving information, the STF laid siege. The accused opened fire on the STF team with AK-47 and pistol, but was injured in retaliation.
