भारत ने 6 से 8 दिसंबर के लिए NOTAM यानी नोटिस टू एयरमैन जारी किया है । इस नोटिस के तहत बंगाल की खाड़ी के ऊपर से 72 घंटों तक कोई विमान नहीं गुजरेगा । भारत के इस NOTAM से बंगाल की खाड़ी में 1400 किलोमीटर के फासले की तालाबंदी कर दी गई है । हालांकि रक्षा मंत्रालय ने कोई अधिकारिक जानकारी नहीं दी है लेकिन माना जा रहा है कि इस NOTAM का मकसद भारतीय सेना की महत्वकांक्षी मिसाइल K-5 का परीक्षण करना है । K-5 मिसाइल को सबमरीन यानी पनडुब्बी से दागने के लिए तैयार किया गया है ।
India has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) for December 6th to 8th. Under this notice, no aircraft will fly over the Bay of Bengal for 72 hours. This NOTAM has blocked a 1,400-kilometer stretch of the Bay of Bengal. Although the Ministry of Defense has not provided any official information, it is believed that the purpose of this NOTAM is to test the Indian Army’s ambitious K-5 missile. The K-5 missile is designed to be launched from a submarine.
