अभी तक यही माना जाता था कि एक बार डायबिटीज (Diabetes) हो जाए तो वह जीवन भर बनी रहती है और इसे सिर्फ दवा, व्यायाम या जीवनशैली बदलकर नियंत्रित (Control) किया जा सकता है लेकिन एम्स नई दिल्ली ने इस धारणा को पूरी तरह गलत साबित कर दिया है। एम्स के सर्जरी विभाग ने अनियंत्रित टाइप-2 डायबिटीज (Uncontrolled Type-2 Diabetes) का परमानेंट इलाज (Permanent Cure) ढूंढकर डायबिटिक मरीज़ों को बहुत बड़ी राहत दी है। अब सर्जरी (Surgery) के माध्यम से इस बीमारी को पूरी तरह ठीक (Completely Cured) किया जा सकता है।
Till now it was believed that once diabetes is diagnosed, it remains for life and it can be controlled only by medication, exercise or lifestyle changes but AIIMS New Delhi has proved this belief completely wrong. The Surgery Department of AIIMS has given a huge relief to diabetic patients by finding a permanent cure for uncontrolled Type-2 Diabetes. Now this disease can be completely cured through surgery.
