The All India Trinamool Congress has undergone a major organisational restructuring following the resignation of its state unit president from all party positions. The party chief has appointed the national general secretary and the joint secretary as the new nodal authorities responsible for all formal communications with the Election Commission of India. This decision comes as the erstwhile nodal authority was removed from all official roles, including that of party spokesperson. The party chief has also assumed the role of interim president of the state unit, asserting close personal oversight of both the national and state wings to counter political challenges from rival camps.
