A video from Chhangapur Primary School in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, has raised serious questions over the quality of mid-day meals served to children. The video allegedly shows an extremely watery vegetable dish with only a few pieces of potato, along with roti being served after falling on the ground. After the video circulated on social media, Sitapur DM Raja Ganapati R ordered an investigation. The complaint was found to be valid, following which action was ordered against the headmaster, cook and Block Education Officer. Under PM POSHAN norms, meals for primary students are required to meet prescribed calorie and protein standards.
