A devastating flash flood in Nepal has caused widespread destruction, with over 150 deaths reported and hundreds missing, including 133 Indian pilgrims. The disaster followed a major landslide near the Nepal-Tibet border, possibly linked to a glacier collapse. Rescue teams have so far saved 216 people, while roads and bridges have suffered major damage. India has sent humanitarian aid to Nepal and assured all possible help. The flood has also affected Bihar, as water from Nepal entered the Gandak river system. All 36 gates of the Gandak Barrage at Valmikinagar were opened, while several Bihar districts were placed on alert amid concerns over rising water levels.
